We require that the images are:

  1. Captured with at least 10 megapixels DSLR camera
  2. RGB, not single channel grayscale or CMYK
  3. 300dpi
  4. jpg file format, saved at high quality setting (i.e Photoshop level 10 and above)
  5. Named according to the following naming convention:

When_What_Who.jpg

Examples­

  • Generic classroom photos taken on April 11th, 2017 for course number STU1212 taught by professor Hays
    04112017_STU01212_Hays_0001.jpg
    04112014 = date
    STU01212 = course number (skip dashes and the zeros at the end)
    Hays = professor’s last name
    0001 = sequence number
  • Photos from a field trip to Fresh Pond on April 11th, 2017 for course number STU1212 taught by professor Hays
    04112017_STU01212_FreshPondTrip_Hays_0001.jpg
  • Photos from an event titled “On Integration” that took place on April 11th, 2017, the main speaker’s last name was Smith

Quantity and Quality

Please do not send us all the images from a photo session.  Select the best representative images and be mindful of the following:

  • Images need to be in focus, well‐lit for the subject matter, professionally processed, including for color correction
  • Images that are very noisy/grainy or have been processed incorrectly are not accepted

Images can be FTPed to our photo server.

You may use any FTP client.  If you need to download an FTP client we recommend FileZilla.
